Course Description: Examines the functional classification and treatment of problem behaviors, both socially and nonsocially mediated. Delves into the controversial topic of punishment, and explores the role of punishment contingencies in treatment.

- Understand under which conditions extinction is impractical
- Determine whether a compelling case be made for the use of a punishing stimulus
