Full course description

The theme of this year’s Behavior Analysis Student Association conference is “Out of the Box, Into the Spotlight”. Behavior analysis is a vast field which consists of numerous opportunities for individuals of many backgrounds. It seeks to help us understand more about our experience and the environment around us. The goal of this year’s conference is to shed light on areas of behavior analysis that do not get a lot of attention and don’t get talked about a lot at conferences. We have invited several speakers to talk about their work in these areas. Presentation topics include ethically assessing and addressing automatically reinforced behavior, creating systems to promote ethics and problem solving in human services, designing behavior analytic reading programs for scale, and the historical treatment of LGBTQ+ individuals in behavior analytic publications. We hope that this conference will serve as a platform to bring attention to these topics and that our attendees will walk away with a new perspective that they can bring into life and practice.
